[Hong Kong] As the corporate partner of the Project WeCan Mobile Apps Development Programme, cherrypicks employed two secondary students as our summer interns this year. Tim Chan, cherrypicks’ VP, Technology Development, was invited to be one of the award presenters at the Award Presentation Ceremony on 27 August while Aton Chan, our Senior Application Developer and the immediate supervisor of the two interns Steven and Peter, shared on how the programme benefits cherrypicks as well as the students.
Project WeCan is a pioneer 360°school improvement programme funded by the Wharf Holdings Limited. Ten secondary schools have been selected to receive support from the programme, benefiting 10,000 students in Hong Kong who are with fewer opportunities yet great potential. A six-year programme, Project WeCan, aims at uplifting secondary school students’ total performance covering a wide spectrum ranging from teaching, academic learning, extra-curriculum development, conduct and behaviour, life-goal planning, to learning environment and support, care and counseling as well as parent-teachers collaboration.
