[Hong Kong] Jason Chiu, CEO of Cherrypicks and Chairman of the Hong Kong Startup Council (HKSC), inspires talent in the audience speaking on the “Launch Yourself into The Future: Hear What the Talents Have to Say” panel at the [On the Horizon] Series – Investing in Talent for Future Opportunities webinar organized by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) on 23 Jul. Joining Jason on the panel, moderated by Alaric Chu, were Clement Tien, CEO of Arical and Dr Rigil Yeung, “Technology Leader of Tomorrow Programme” Talent of the HKSTP InnoAcademy.
Jason agrees that talent is no doubt the number one resource in all IT companies as, without talent, there would be no innovation. He suggests that the pandemic has enabled a talent-centric mindset where distributed talents can be sourced with a central hub in Hong Kong to take advantage of all the local opportunities. He also spoke on how the most effective startup founders are coachable, have an infinite mindset, and use an unbiased lens to view their startup as well as always being prepared to pivot if their business models have been invalidated.
